The #MicuirFamily united for Ukraine
At Micuir we have a maxim: the more you give, the more you get. That is why we could not stand idly by in the face of the terrible situation that Ukraine is currently experiencing. More than three million refugees have already fled the country and have found themselves facing a new life without any resources at their disposal.
So when we asked our Micuir Family which association or NGO they wanted to choose for our aid, the answer was overwhelmingly UNHCR, the UN refugee agency, and Caritas.
To do so, we organised a charity raffle that was active on our Instagram profile from 11 to 18 March and whose prize was a set of exclusive Micuir designs valued at more than €1,000.
The mechanics of the raffle step by step
To participate, all you had to do was buy a €25 gift card on our website or in our physical shop (you could buy as many cards as you wanted) and the full amount of that purchase would be donated to UNHCR and Caritas.
The draw took place on Friday 18 March at 3pm and was announced on our Instagram profile at 8pm. The winning card number was 35,327.
Main questions regarding the solidarity lottery
The most repeated question during the raffle was whether the card was just a donation or whether it could still be used for shopping. the card was just a donation or could it still be used for shopping. And the answer is yes in both cases. Micuir has donated the full value of all €25 cards purchased between 11 and 18 March and those who bought the card will be able to use it on their next purchase. The cards are valid for one year.
The other most recurrent doubt was whether the winner could choose another product of the same value in the draw. The answer is yes. The winner has been able to choose the Micuir design she wanted within each category entered in the draw.
Over €5,000 raised in aid of UNHCR and Caritas
Once again you have left us speechless. Our Micuir Family is always there when we need it and has not stood idly by in the face of the current terrible situation in Ukraine.
With everyone's help, we managed to raise €5,525 in just one week. An amount that has already been donated in equal parts to the projects that UNHCR and Caritas are currently active in the area.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
