Micuir is an eco-friendly brand that literally means "My Leather," so all the bags and shoes in the collection are handcrafted in Spain from the highest quality leather.
My name is Elena Peña, and after working for several years in the fashion industry, I realized that the designs I liked were practically nonexistent. Shoes and bags made by Spanish artisans, true masters, very natural designs that didn't have the brand displayed on the outside.
That's why I've decided to create exclusive, high-quality designs and hide the logo within my creations. Micuir is pure, quiet, and affordable luxury.
UNIQUE DESIGNS AND THE BEST QUALITY
I think it's extraordinary when a young team decides to uphold the traditions and arts of the past. This is precisely the idea upon which Micuir is founded.
Collection after collection I launch new designs, but I always remain true to three key concepts: "Maximum quality, exclusive design and attention to detail." To guarantee their exclusivity, I have long registered all my designs with the OEPM (Spanish Patent and Trademark Office).
A LONG AND HIGH-QUALITY PROCESS
Each Micuir shoe passes through more than 44 hands of Spanish artisans, from the first last being made, because at Micuir we create unique lasts designed exclusively for the brand, until the heel is implanted, the shoe is polished and it is put in its Micuir box.
It is said in the industry that creating a shoe involves more people than building an airplane, and we certainly believe that our designs are unique.
PREMIUM LEATHERS
Regarding the handbags, each design is also unique and features a pattern created exclusively for Micuir. Our handbags are crafted from the most luxurious, soft, and supple leathers available. The colors are created exclusively for Micuir; we don't use color charts because each bag is hand-dyed by immersing it in tubs of water with the dye we create, allowing the leather and cotton lining to absorb the color naturally. This is why our handbags are unique and have that distinctive "old but new" look so characteristic of Micuir.
The shoes and bags are designed in the Madrid showroom and the manufacturing process involves artisans from Alicante, the world's nerve center for leather craftsmanship.
ECO-FRIENDLY
This union is what has led the firm to a manufacturing process that respects the environment and therefore Micuir is eco-friendly and committed to slow fashion since we use natural leathers, recycled from the food sector and we are very aware of sustainable processes.
Our goal is to be transparent and for each customer to know where the shoe or bag they buy comes from, ultimately, to put a face to the team behind each design.
Our company is young but characterized by being exclusive and having unique, top-quality designs, made slowly and carefully in Spain, because with care and passion, things are done well in life.
